The Butte Humane Society reminds the public it is always in need of showing adoptable pets at your businesses, schools, and programs, where it will bring its Mobile Adoption Unit at no cost to you.

The Society also reminds the public that its new program for seniors is underway. People over 60 who wish to adopt an older companion animal (cats, 5 years and older; dogs, 8 years and older) may adopt one for free. Simply stop by the Shelter at 2579 Fair St. in Chico to fill out an application. This is a good deal, as all animals are spayed or neutered and are current on their vaccinations – at no cost to the senior. If you have questions, call the shelter at (530) 343-7917.
The Society’s annual Valentine’s Day fund-raising banquet may be some months off, but it is collecting donations now –- items to go into its silent and live auctions. If your business has not yet been contacted about donating, please give the shelter a call today.
